Illinois Minimum Wage 2024 Under 18. Workers who are under 18 years old and work fewer than 650 hours in a year will earn a minimum wage of $8.50 per hour beginning january 1. Those under 18 years of age may be paid at the rate of $12.00 per hour for less than 650 hours.
